What is your cancelation policy?
A: Cancellations more than 2 days prior to the reservation are not charged. Less than 2 days are charged 50%. The day of and no-shows are charged 100%.
How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?
A: Generally for large groups it’s recommended to book more than one week in advance. More notice may be needed if you plan on coming during a weekend or holidays. We can also make same day bookings under most circumstances for smaller parties.
How many snowmobiles do you have available to rent?
A: We have (40) trail sleds, (6) 600 mountain sleds, and (6) 850 mountain sleds available. The trail sleds and 600 mountain sleds can accommodate two people on each sled. The 850’s are single-person only. We also have (2) Can-Am Maverick Max 1000 UTV’s with snow tracks that are 4-person each.
Is damage insurance available?
A. Yes, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance is available for the rental machines which covers physical damage to the unit (except for UTV and Snowcoach rentals where no CDW insurance is available). The insurance cost is $25/snowmobile with a $1,500 deductible, meaning you’re responsible for the first $1,500 of any damage. CDW insurance is not required, but is recommended.
How far are you from Park City?
A: Our location at the Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway is about 20 minutes from Park City.
Can you provide transportation?
A: Yes, we provide free transportation for our rental customers to and from anywhere in Park City and surrounding areas of Heber City and Midway.
What happens if I’m late for my reservation tour time?
A: If you do not arrive at least 30-45 minutes early for your tour to fill out paperwork, get dressed appropriately, and do the orientation there’s a chance that you will get left behind. Our tours leave on time and no refunds will be given due to late arrival.
How should I dress?
A: It’s recommended that you dress as though you’re going snow skiing. We allow snowboarding boots to be used on our snowmobiles, but not ski boots. You’ll want to have a waterproof snowsuit (snow pants and coat), gloves, snow boots, and googles. If you don’t have the appropriate gear, we have all the winter clothing available to rent. A snowsuit is $10, boots $6, gloves $6, googles $6, or everything for $25. We have all the different sizes of clothing. We also have balaclavas and other accessories available for purchase that cover your face and neck for warmth. Certified DOT snowmobile helmets are mandatory and included with every rental. Other types of helmets aren’t allowed including ski helmets.
Is gas, oil, and tax extra?
A. Tax is extra. For guided rentals the gas and oil are included. The following information is for unguided rentals: Gas and oil are extra. Only the 600 and 850 mountain sleds use 2-stroke oil. We pre-charge $10 per sled for oil, and our specific synthetic oil must be used. The initial oil in the snowmobile will last at least one day, and we’ll send you with extra oil for multiple day rentals. The snowmobile rentals leave our shop full of gas, and must either be brought back full of gas, or we have gas available on-site to purchase.
How old do you have to be to rent?
A. You must be 21 or older to rent and sign the rental agreement. Drivers must be 16 or older with a valid driver’s license to drive.
